Our office is proud to announce that we are hosting monthly Morning Run and Injury Prevention Clinics. This month’s Morning Run and Injury Prevention Clinic will be on Saturday, November 15th and will be located at our Seabrook Office. These events are open to the public and are free. This month’s topic will be on the importance of body weight strength exercises in endurance athletes. We will be doing the body weight strength exercises so if you plan on attending bring a mat and dress appropriately.
The run will start from our clinic on Nasa Road 1 and head down to the beautiful 10 mile crushed granite Seabrook trail system. The run will wind through the beautiful South Texas landscape and head down to Pine Gully Park. All levels of runners and walkers are welcome and you are able to choose how long you would like to run/walk. We are hoping to promote an open environment where all feel welcome, even if they are new to running or walking.
At Premier Sports Chiropractic, PLLC we know the importance of exercise and we want to promote it. We also understand that if you are new to any sport that you are more prone to injuries. We want to empower you with the knowledge to prevent injuries no matter what level athlete you are. This is why we not only host a morning run, but we also host the Injury Prevention Clinic afterwards. If at first you do not want to come and run you are more than welcome to join us for our Injury Prevention Clinic without going for a run.
Our Injury Prevention Clinics are a series of classes over key topics that are important for injury prevention. We cycle through the series so that if you missed a class that you may have another opportunity to learn about it. We only cycle through the topics so often though so those who come each time will be able to learn about new topics.
Dr. Bodziony and Dr. Young speak at the clinics and often guest speakers from other specialties are brought in to speak about certain injuries or prevention techniques. After all of the clinics we have a question and answer session in case you want to learn more about a certain sport or a certain injury. We encourage these questions because we would rather you learn from experts in the field than by looking at information on the internet that may be misleading.
